OhMyCash! · last updated 11 September 2026

Your expense records stay on your iPhone. OhMyCash! uses Apple and RevenueCat to process subscriptions and unlock Insights. Your expense notes, amounts, categories and budgets are not sent to RevenueCat.

What we collect

RevenueCat receives subscription purchase history, an anonymous app user identifier, and app and device metadata needed to validate purchases, restore access and report subscription activity. The developer can view subscription records and subscription analytics in RevenueCat. We do not ask you to create an app account or provide a name or email address. We do not collect advertising identifiers or use your data for advertising tracking.

What the app stores, and where

The expenses, categories, accounts, budgets and currency settings you create are saved in the app's own storage on your device, using Apple's SwiftData. The same applies to what the category suggester learns from your entries. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

This data is included in your iPhone's normal iCloud or computer backups, which are governed by Apple's privacy policy rather than this one. You can also export a copy yourself at any time from Settings.

Category suggestions

When you type an expense, the app suggests a category. This runs entirely on your device, using Apple's Natural Language framework together with a word-counting model written into the app. No text is sent off the device, and no AI or cloud service is involved at any point.

Permissions

The app requests optional biometric authentication when you enable the app lock, and notification permission when you enable daily reminders. These features are off by default. The app does not request location, contacts, camera, photos or microphone access.

Third parties

Apple handles subscription billing and payment details. RevenueCat validates purchases and maintains subscription access. See Apple's privacy policy and RevenueCat's privacy policy. We do not send your spending records to either service for subscription processing.

Children

We do not knowingly request personal contact information from children. Subscription purchases are subject to Apple's purchase and parental approval controls.

Deleting your data

Delete individual expenses inside the app, or delete the app to remove its local spending records. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription; manage or cancel it through your Apple Account's subscriptions. Subscription records are held separately by Apple and RevenueCat to provide the service and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. Contact us about subscription data or deletion requests. Copies you exported or backed up must be managed separately.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
